Ford's Terror Wilderness   Ford's Terror is a very steep and narrow fjord, sixty miles southeast of Juneau in Alaska's Inside Passage. It lies within the Tracy Arm-Ford's Terror Wilderness. Ford's Terror juts off from Endicott Arm, a larger inlet that extends more than thirty miles into the rugged, ice-covered Coast Mountain Range, to a glacier that actively calves icebergs into the fjord.

Glacier Bay   Glacier Bay's fascinating geology, plentiful wildlife (including the endangered humpback whale), and breathtaking scenery are the setting for an unforgettable wilderness experience. Amid soaring mountains and gorgeous tidewater glaciers, you'll watch for wildlife on both land and sea. You'll also learn about the fascinating natural and cultural history of the bay, and see land recently unveiled by retreating ice thousands of years old.

LeConte Glacier Bay   LeConte Glacier Bay is a twelve mile-long fjord. It has been carved out of the surrounding coastal mountain range by glaciers, over the course of thousands of years. At the head of the bay is LeConte Glacier, the southernmost tidewater glacier in North America. The glacier is active, constantly fracturing and calving, filling the bay with thousands of icebergs, and sounds of thunder.

Sheenjek River   The Arctic National Wildlife Refuge is America's largest nature preserve, and the Sheenjek River is a magnet for those who seek pure wilderness. It meanders gracefully, through mountains and rolling tundra. The Porcupine caribou herd migrates through the area from calving grounds on the Arctic coastal plain. You may also see Dall sheep, numerous migratory birds, wolves, fox, moose, grizzlies, and wolverines. And the birding and photography opportunities are just incredible!

Tatshenshini River   Born among the chiseled snow-clad mountains of the Yukon, the Tatshenshini River flows with a casual grace past fields of wildflowers and sweeping glaciers on its relentless path to the sea. This is a remote natural highway through the habitat of grizzly and black bear, mountain goat and moose, bald eagle and osprey, and the pure ruggedness of the country has kept it wild and free of the imprint of modern man.
